First-ever Asia’s Top Comedy Queens on one stage Westwood Group was one of the sponsors
On 13 March 2020, along with womens rights movement and the rights of women at the workplace, we have seen a proliferation of women in all walks of life and all types of industry. Stand-up comedy has also embraced and welcomed female comedians into the entertainment industry and for the first time, 4 famous female stand-up comedians have gathered together and performed for a first ever ‘Queens of Asia’ comedy show.
The event was held at the HGH Auditorium in Sentul. The 4 female famous stand up comedians included local legend comedian Queen Joanne Kam, comedian Yumi Nagashima from Japan, comedian Sharul Channa from Singapore and comedian Aditi Mittal from India. The 4 female comedians all showed their vocal eloquence alongside unique jokes with each of them throwing laughs and jokes at the audience. All those in attendance were delighted at their performance.
The Westwood Group, one of the sponsors, had the responsibility of ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the event and worked together with the organizer to enhance the sanitization precautions by disinfecting all seats including the stage before participants and audience members were allowed entry into the performing hall. Proper sanitization, disinfection and health monitoring protocols were in place in order to ensure all participants both performers and audiences can have peace of mind and to enjoy a wonderful evening and performance.
