Westwood CEO Conferred Dato’ Sri Title
Westwood CEO Ms. Trina Tan was conferred the title of Dato Sri by HRH Crown Prince A.A. Ngurah Ugrasena of Bali, Indonesia.
Puri Agung Singaraja as part of history and culture, still has quite a strong magnet for some people outside, especially guests who want to know more about the majesty of the history of Buleleng.
Not surprisingly, if then the Puri Agung Singaraja family, many have colleagues and relatives who often establish communication to build civilizations between nations.
Like the event that was held recently by the Puri Buleleng family at Sasana Budaya, Puri Agung Singaraja. A number of guests from Malaysia, Singapore and China were present at Puri Agung Singaraja in order to build friendship.
As a form of respect for the guests who visited him, the Puri Buleleng family held an event titled ‘North Bali Cultural Arts Performance’.
The guest of honor was treated to three distinctive dances performed neatly by dancers who came from dance studios in Buleleng. Beginning the welcoming Dance of Preduale Nilayam, continued the Truna Jaya Dance and at the end of the event the Cow Gerumbungan Dance was performed.
The guests of honor who attended were colleagues of the Puri Agung Singaraja family from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, namely the Khazanah Suria KL Berhad Cooperative and Westwood Group. Not only that, as a form of appreciation and supreme ethics, awards were given as a symbol of kinship ties to guests.
The guest of honors were given awards, namely Dato Sri Tan Lay Hwa, Dato Chia Kok Ming and Dato Gan Teck Seng.
While from the guest party, represented by Datuk Sri Tan Lay Hwa gave a souvenir in the form of a miniature Petronas Twin Towers to the host Puri Agung Singaraja.
After the event, Dato Sri Tan Lay Hwa claimed to be impressed and intend to continue to have kinship with the Puri Agung Singaraja family.
One way he and other colleagues from Malaysia will soon be investing in Buleleng. According to him, he was interested in collaborating with investment in northern Bali because he felt that he was in harmony with nature besides the people of Buleleng, which were quite warm.
“It’s very suitable, the weather is suitable, the land is very good and people are happy,” he said in Malay.
He claimed to bring the latest agricultural and plantation technology, refineries and a number of investors will be brought to Buleleng to participate in building infrastructure.
“Many opportunities can be developed in northern Bali such as International Hospital (international standard hospitals), International Schools and refineries. We will even participate in promoting and bringing foreign tourists from abroad to come to this area (Buleleng, red),” he continued.
Meanwhile, the host, Anak Agung Ngurah Ugrasena, said that his party held a northern Bali cultural arts performance to welcome his colleague from the neighbor country.
According to Agung Ugrasena, his colleagues from Singapore, Malaysia and China came to visit to explore the possibility of investing in northern Bali because it was seen as having quite a prospective perspective. They are also absorbing information relating to the development of northern Bali, especially about international airport development plans.
“I had a meeting with them with other Buleleng figures to explore the possibility of investing. And they see that the political situation is cool, many will come here to invest. For them North Bali is very prospective,” he said.
